This will be a very short post, just because what I want to share is so POWERFUL.

Regardless of where we are in life — we all need an occassional push. For many of us that’s why we have someone like Alex Jeffreys to coach us (push us — if you will) and all the members of our world-wide network to support and challenge us (push us — if you will); not because we are lacking but more because it is human nature to doubt and fear and talk ourselves out of  the things that we must simply  ”do”  — if we are to grow.

If you plan to become successful as an Internet Marketer or Entrepreneur, you must develop what I’ll refer to here as “The Internet Mindset”. Alex Jeffreys has it; Maria Andros has it; Mike Filsaime and others like Rich Schefren and Tellman Knudson definitely have it.

 First, you must do some honest soul searching to determine “what you really want” out of life.
Next, you need to write it down; and develop a plan for making it happen — (sound familiar).
Finally, you need to keep it in front of you – as a road map, if you will – so as not to stray off the path.

Once you have these steps firmly planted in your mind, you must remind yourself daily that — online:
• You’re not paid according to the number of hours you work at a given rate per hour.
• Your pay is determined by your passion and the amount of “Value” you have to offer.
• You could “wake up” one morning, to more money than most people make in a year off-line.
• You might develop a joint-venture project that could net you an extra 100+ sales – in the blink of an eye.
• You could become a success virtually overnight; compared to a life-time off-line.

The PROFITABILITY of working online is “limitless”

It’s all in the THINKING. You must start thinking about those activities you should undertake that will have the maximum impact on your business in the shortest amount of time.
What would Alex Jeffreys say? You know what he’d say — it’s all about how much “value” you create with your time — that makes all the difference.
Look at the 80/20 rule: it’s highly probable that 80% of your results are derived from 20% of your efforts; so what are those “profit making” efforts?
• Product creation?
• Writing sales copy?
• Market research?
• Traffic generation?
• Studying? ( Skills to improve your internet marketing)

Easy to list – not so easy to do? I realize that there are a lot of little things that must be done (that 80% of small insignificant things that don’t really add to your profit results, but easily get you side-tracked).
You must stand strong – you must PRIORITIZE and PLAN — Success is a result of staying focused.
One way to help accomplish this is by developing a “High Impact List” of those tasks you feel competent and capable of completing – tasks that will increase the results you desire (ie: more traffic, more sales, joint ventures, affiliate partners …)
Another “BIG MUST” is to develop a list of those skills which tend to slow you down because they are beyond your comfort level or knowledge base (for me it would be the “techie stuff”). Only after you actually list the skills that don’t work in your favor – will you know what it is exactly, that you need to out-source or get help with, so that your time and efforts will be better utilized.
Once you learn to make the most profitable use of your time – time and success will be on your side.

First,  you can’t always do everything you’d like  — so it’s even more important to ”use” a daily prioritized planning list — Alex Jeffreys referred to this in his very first teaching module. I’ve used one for many years, but must admit — not as productively as I could have – until recently.  In fact, I feel that I have accomplished more in the last three weeks (relating to I.M.) than I have in the last year.

Second, and even worse, you can’t begin to learn as much as you’d like — as fast as you’d like ; that’s why this support group of like-minded individuals — so willing to help each other — is so POWERFUL.

You see, it’s all just a PUZZLE — and just like any puzzle, you have to determine which pieces go where.  It’s not always easy, but that’s part of the “getting” it all together; the same with life.  Oh how much easier it would be if it was all just “paint by numbers” –  but it’s NOT — so get over it, and keep falling forward.  There are things we can do to help ourselves along the way, however, and that’s where “PLANNING” comes in.

Since my journey involves Internet Marketing, I have developed (planned) what I call the “SEVEN-STEPS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM” –  see what you think.

* 1st  -  You need a BURNING DESIRE to be financially free.

* 2nd – You need FAITH that your financial freedom is POSSIBLE.

* 3rd -  You need a PROVEN PLAN to follow, to help you take that “first Step” because that’s where every journey must begin.

* 4th -  You need to COMMIT to the plan.

* 5th -  You need to FOLLOW the plan, with daily determination to achieve specific tasks.

* 6th -  When you stumble or fall, you must PICK YOURSELF UP and push on.

* 7th -  You must create an ATTITUDE that: Failure is not an acceptable alternative; that giving up is not an option; that no matter how painful — you will keep driving forward until you meet your goal.

Total NEWBIE here!  When I started the mentoring program with Alex Jeffreys, I thought – man this is great; my personal mentor; someone who’s been where I am and become successful at what I want to do – someone who has the answers I’ve been looking for (you know the story; when the student is ready – the teacher will appear).  Well that’s just the beginning.

I’m a well educated man, with pretty fair computer skills, organizational skills, successful at most everything I ever attempted, but I’ve got to admit that during the last two weeks I’ve encountered some tasks that have made me feel – well – quite frankly — really stupid.

Creating, problem solving,  and coming up with new ideas (NO PROBLEM) but some of the seemingly simple tech stuff – well that’s a different story.

Example:

• I was very fortunate to sign-up with Adam and Pro Host Management to register my domain names and host my sites. Talk about patience – he and his staff must think I’m the only client they have who is “totally brainless”.  For instance, I had some great header graphics and a blog theme that I asked to have installed, and was really getting frustrated because I would get an email saying everything was up and running, but when I logged on to the sites — all I saw was text and nothing else.  As it turns out, “it was on my end” – I have a new Dell Opti-plex and the configuration was all wrong so it had to be reset by Dell support; thank God for Jody.
• Once everything was installed (and I could actually see what it looked like — I had to face the OMINUS “C-panel”  — still working on that one!
• Next I had to deal with the blog  “dash board” – my first thoughts being O.M.G. — where is it and how do I work it – still dealing with this one, as well!
• Just can’t wait for the next challenge

It seems that the simpler a task should be – the more difficult it actually is (at least at this point in my journey).  I mean this stuff is supposed to be easy right? Thousands of people world-wide blog daily, right?  Even “kids” for crying out loud. I read all the manuals watched as many of the videos I could before my mind turned to “mush” and I still seem to have a lot of missing pieces. At one point earlier today, I emailed Adam with my latest request with a P.S. stating that I was going out for a Starbucks.

I keep this photo in my mind   just to remind me of where I plan to be in the near future.  The journey may be extremely painful at times, especially in the beginning, but failure is not an option – remember “The only thing keeping you from success – is lack of persistence and giving up”.
