One of things that Alex Jeffreys refers to a lot is when his boy was learning to walk, and he didnt think to give up. When we are young and the world is new & exciting, we are not conditioned to accept second best or to give up at the first hirdle. It never enters our head to give up when we are learning to walk. How many times as kids learning to walk did we fall down hard on our poor bums, what did we do, just get right back up again. When you are learning somthing new, as adults we tend to be embarrassed if we fail on the first try, forgetting that failure can be a great teacher, as long as we indeed learn from it.
